R2-KT

Hasbro and Lucasfilm Ltd. have created an action figure in memory of Katie Johnson, a seven year old star wars fan who passed away from brain cancer in 2005.

In 2005, the R2-D2 Builders Club created a life-size astromech droid named R2-KT named after Katie. Hasbro, the maker of Star Wars action figures, and Lucasfilm were touched by Katie's story and decided to create a special edition 3-3/4" R2-KT figure in Katie's honor.

The action figures will be for sale an San Diego's Comic Con convention July 25-29 and then a limited supply will be available for sale online. To learn more about R2-KT, check out her website at www.r2kt.com

The Quest Continues

Loyal Readers, I apologize for the delay in posts. Rest assured, my quest through the vast internets is ongoing.

Here is a video favorite of mine (and yes I am aware of the chronological inconsistency...)

My Dream Ride

I have found my dream car. An X-34 Tatooine Landspeeder has been found at the impound lot of Florida's Cedar Grove Police Department - or at least a replica of one. Although this vehicle was not actually manufactured on Tatooine, it is the next best thing.

The best part is that it is for sale! The Cedar Grove Police Department is auctioning the Landspeeder off in an effort to raise money for new computers. The '71 VW engine that powers the Landspeeder needs some work before the vehicle is deemed roadworthy, but I'm sure that an R2 unit could fix it up in no time.

Looking at the Cedar Grove PD website, it is clear that they do indeed need more money for their technology department. Although no information regarding the time of the auction is available, Chief Turcotte's email address is listed for those seeking detailed information (NOTE TO WIFE: Father's Day is coming up soon...).

What isn't clear is how this vehicle ended up in the impound lot. Perhaps a rouge protocol droid is to blame?

The Coolest Thing Ever

Starwars.com has added a feature called mashup, which is quite simply the most fantastic and wonderful thing ever. This feature allows you to chose from 250 different Star Wars film clips and insert your own video clips.

Just think of the possibilities! Want to be there when the Death Star blows up? Want to be part of the cantina band in Mos Eisley? Want to battle Darth Maul in the Palace? YES! YES! YES!

Star Wars nerds everywhere rejoice.

The Quest Begins

Who is Guamotle Chiractor?

To borrow a line from Obi-wan Kenobi, "He's me."

Um, I thought you were Roccondil?

That's right.

So, why not call it the Adventures of Roccondil?

Well, that would be too easy. And not nearly fun enough. And Guamotle Chiractor is much more humorous to me.

Whatever. Why should I bother reading this?

You've come all this way to read my blog and you are questioning why you should read it? Seems like the thing to do if you visit a blog - read it. But feel free to just look at the pretty pictures if it suits you.

What pictures? I don't see any pictures?

Patience. This is the first post. I'm sure there will be pictures eventually.

What kind of pictures?

Aren't you the curious type? I hope to post things from the internet that I find humorous, obnoxious, important or whatever else Guamotle Chiractor comes across during his adventure.

What adventure is that?

t3h internets of course.

I can't believe I'm reading this.

I can't believe I'm writing this. "TAKE THAT!" - Phoenix Wright

Nice. Thanks for the link.

No problem. I'll try and posts links to things I find on my adventures.

Hey, how come you posted a link for the Phoenix Wright quote but not the Obi-wan quote?

Well I hadn't introduced links yet.

Well, can I get a link?

Sure. Star Wars Ep. 4 script

So is there any reason to come back to this blog ever again?

Probably not a good one.

Fair enough. Well, thanks for your time.

I hope you enjoyed yourself. Here is a parting gift for you.
