UPDATE! Sony Steals from God, Apologizes, Keeps Goods

For those of you who read the best of the rest, here is an update to the Sony story:

For those of you who missed it (shame on you!), Sony released Resistance: Fall of Man for Playstation 3 not too long ago. This game pits man against alien in an epic struggle for survival. In the game, a shoot out between an American soldier and aliens is featured in a replica of the Manchester Cathedral. Oddly enough, this Cathedral is home to large anti-gun violence activities.

Well, Sony sent a letter to Very Rev. Rogers Govender, dean of Manchester Cathedral, apologizing for using the Cathedral in one of their games for Playstation 3. Sort of. The letter stated that Sony does not believe "that there is any connection between contemporary issues in 21st century Manchester and the work of science fiction in which a fictitious 1950s Britain is under attack by aliens."

Way to miss the point, Sony. I'm pretty sure that the Anglican Church is aware that there wasn't an alien invasion that took place in the 50's in one of their Cathedrals.

Sony Apologizes, Does Nothing
