A woman from Iowa was recently arrested for stealing toilet paper from a courthouse. Suzanne Marie Butts, 38, was caught taking toilet paper out of a storage closet by an employee at the Marshall County Courthouse. Butts could face up to a three years in prison under Iowa repeat offender laws.
Lost in the humor of Butts stealing toilet paper, is the ridiculousness of the crime. 1) Toiler Paper is not that expensive. 2) Of all of the places to commit a crime, a courthouse is probably not the best. Perhaps Butts will try stealing from the local police department bathroom next.
